NY-23 update ...

Seems like the fat lady is warming up. Ace has this post detailing the mountain of support that is turning into a crater, and adds to the chorus of conservatives calling for Scozzafava to withdraw.

Now, why would a Republican who's not only more left than the constituency, but more left than the Democrat; who challenged her opponent to debates at his headquarters (with the predictable PR debacle); and whose husband called the police after a reporter (with impeccable credentials, btw) questioned her about her stand on the issues (note to Dede - that's what reporters do) withdraw from a political race?! That's just crazy talk!

I haven't seen the poll numbers recently, but the GOP needs to take a look at the bigger picture. If they don't encourage Ms Scozzafava to withdraw, the Democrat will win (maybe). The best thing that can happen is a Dem win; the worst is for Hoffman to beat both opponents in a three-way race and have the GOP repudiated in a safely red district.

No matter what happens, the GOP county chairmen who picked this bimbo should throw themselves on their swords and resign immediately after the election. It's past time that the rank-and-file took the party back.
