Bloomberg's Follies

David had this post about Michael Bloomberg's latest anti-gun venture, hiring private investigators to infiltrate gun shows to show how eeeevil they are and how criminals, to the exclusion of all other sources, get their guns from illegal gun dealers in all sorts of illegal ways.

Funny how the Sharonville officials have had not had a single report of illegal activity, even having hosted the show for over 15 years.

So why didn't any of Bloomberg's goons alert law enforcement to any shenanigans? Well, seems that wasn't the goal ......

Forgive some of us if we suspect all the pots and pans Bloomberg is banging over out-of-state gun shows is more a matter of generating tons of free publicity, stoking his insufferable ego and imposing his will on all American gun owners, and less about combating violent crime in the Big Apple.

You see, gun control advocates really don't want to reduce crime (though they'll strenuously claim they do), they only want control. That's why Philadelphia won't actually enforce firearms laws on the books (that's too hard), instead wanting more and stricter firearms legislation that only the law-abiding will comply with (it's so much easier to get those illegal firearms).
