I Googled it, and I also Googled Brian Bates Convicted. Funny, didn't find that conviction.
Sean, you are correct. However, the original article notes that Bates sells his video to other shows, therefore incentivizing prostitution (at least, for him).
While he was arrested by an out of control DA, the charges were eventually dropped and the DA voted out of office.
