Hoover free market?

I recently read Murray Rothbard's America's Great Depression for a blogger-guided study. If you're interested, you can go through it yourself here.

I also read about a study by two UCLA economics professors who concluded that all the government action to solve the Great Depression actually made it worse and last longer than it should have. One of those economists, Lee Ohanian has written another paper to show who's to blame (though Hoover didn't do it all himself).
