I had every intention (after checking the funds after tax refund) of investing in a 1911 (Para GI Expert) pistol to replace my Hi-Power copy for carry. Unfortunately, my tablesaw has given up the ghost and I'd much rather take the money I'd spend to repair it to upgrade my saw.
I have, however, at least gotten a new gun, or at least, gotten one replaced. A Ruger 22/45 that was 'damaged' somehow beyond repair ... Ruger was nice enough to replace it for me.
