The gene, CYP2E1, provides the coded instructions for making an enzyme that breaks down alcohol.

And of course, we've always known that alcohol affects different people differently, and that the BAC standard was pretty bad. How long, now, before someone claims that they don't have the gene and that they're not impaired with an over-the-limit BAC?
