I've been thinking a lot ...

... about the NFA.
I had subscribed to the comments on a post at The Truth About Guns (hold your fire!), there was another one yesterday and I went back over them. Here are some thoughts (especially now that the ATF has fucked up and issued stamps for new Form 1's):

... liberals eventually win:
This is how liberals win. They spend decades trying to get something and conservatives stop fighting against it and start trying to “make it work” six months later. There’s no longer any argument about whether or not we should be doing what liberals want, just how we should be doing it.That's the argument that the GOP does not want to make, yet it's the one that must be made.
We are so fucked.

... for stating the not-so-obvious:
Of course it's "fucking crickets". The legitimate protest is not being conducted by their people. "American citizen" is now as meaningless a term as "citizen of the world" or "member of the human race". The "darkies" in Ferguson who are, quite rightly in my opinion, protesting the latest murder of one of their own by the badge gang, have absolutely nothing in common with the armed, civilized freedom fighters who successfully withstood the federal forces at the Bundy ranch. From a historical perspective, the 'vibrancy' that is now America cannot stand. The events in Ferguson are proof.

I must apologize ...
.
... to my loyal readers (both of them!).
In my recent dearth of posting I find myself in a real funk about current events. With the exception of the recent DC decision (congratulations to Alan Gura), our current political climate is at a dead end.
Despite our gains, nothing changes.
If gun rights gets a win, the anti-gunners continue to agitate for more control, lying all the way. Yes, we won one in DC, but there are still states where you must get permission to exercise an enumerated right (FOID cards). And those states will fight tooth and nail to keep those requirements.
The longer I live and the more I hear, the more convinced I am that we stopped shooting waywardpoliticians much too soon.

I noticed yesterday ...

... that NBC didn't report on the DC Court decision that purchasers of insurance from federal exchanges aren't eligible for subsidies.
I guess they can put their fingers in their ears and sing 'la la la la la' with the best of them.

In a resignation letter obtained by National Report, Wagner claims she has been spreading “lies on behalf of Obama” and using her position with MSNBC to “falsely promote a brutal dictator.”Because I did.
Wagner goes on to say, “I have spent my entire professional career working toward a position based on false pretenses. I have worked hard to obtain a position with a major news network and expected to be reporting on serious issues. Instead, I am handed Pro-Obama scripts and asked to be a mouthpiece for the administration.”

A Philadelphia woman is now facing felony gun charges after she brought her legally-owned gun into New Jersey. The 27-year-old single mother of two claims she never meant to do anything wrong and simply did not know that her concealed carry permit, issued in her home state of Pennsylvania, did not apply in The Garden State.Another opportunity that will be missed by the severely conservative Christie .

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has identified a massive new threat to domestic airline security. No, it’s not ISIS, Al Qaeda, or the Taliban.
It’s the dead battery on your smartphone.
Yes, the TSA IS the most monstrously incompetent agency evah!

The U.S. Department of Justice has sent a member of its Community Relations Service team to investigate a Nebraska parade float that criticized President Obama.
